went to a life drawing class in abilene on monday - was surprised at my sketches as i have always felt that my drawings of people were lacking.
i’ve been more into sketching this week - i felt inspired to practice depicting bodies and made a small oil painting of a woman laying in the sand (based on a photo from the library of congress flickr account). i think it looks pretty good - the sand was a struggle and the blanket still needs fixing.
the yellow flowers in the park are wilting but some tall purple flowers remain. i love when the grass is tall and waves in the breeze, and jack prances through it and i get scared he’s going to find a snake in there and i have to frantically yell for him to come out.
